Most small teams don’t need another tool this quarter. On every customer call, the ask was the same: make the tools we already pay for talk to each other.

“I copy numbers between three dashboards every Monday.”

A customer said that on a call last week. It rewrote our roadmap.1

We’d planned a quarter of new features. Instead we’re spending it on getting the tools our customers already pay for to share data.2

What owners plan to change in their software stack

This section draws on the owner survey and the follow-up interviews described in Section 1. Respondents were asked about the tools they use today and what they intend to change over the next twelve months.

Owners were broadly satisfied with individual products. Across interviews, owners described the same frustration: data entered once has to be re-entered in two or three other tools. Several called this the most time-consuming part of their week.

Table 3.4 · Top planned change, next 12 months

Planned changeShare of respondents
Consolidate into fewer tools41%
Replace accounting software22%
Add a new marketing tool18%
No planned change19%

Consolidation was the most common answer in every company-size band, and the gap widened among firms with fewer than ten staff, where one person often owns the full stack.

Respondents who had already consolidated reported spending less time on weekly reporting, and were more likely to say they would recommend their main vendor to a peer.

Small business owners keep saying the same thing: they type the same data into three different tools.

That’s not a feature gap. It’s a plumbing problem.

41% plan to consolidate their software in the next 12 months, more than any other change.

If you sell to small teams, the pitch is fewer tools, not more.

The ones who already did it spend less time on weekly reporting.

We spent a quarter talking to customers, and one thing stood out. “I copy numbers between three dashboards every Monday.”

Questions.Answered plainly.

How is this different from ChatGPT?

ChatGPT writes from what it learned in training, so you end up checking every fact and rewriting it to sound like you. Supenli writes only from the sources you add and the posts you’ve already written, and links each claim to the passage it came from.

Does it really sound like me?

It learns from posts you’ve written: how long your sentences run, how you open, which words you use and avoid. Your voice profile lists what it found in plain language, so you can check it and correct it. More samples give it more to go on.

Where do the facts come from?

From the sources in your knowledge base, and nowhere else. Every claim in a draft is linked to the passage it came from, so you can click through and read it in context before you post.

What file types can I upload?

PDFs, notes you write or paste in, web pages by URL, and YouTube links. For a video, Supenli works from its transcript.

Can I edit what it writes?

Yes. Every draft is fully editable, and you can ask the coach for a sharper hook, a shorter version or more of your own voice. The coach changes the draft in place and highlights what it changed.

Who owns the content?

You do. The sources you upload and the posts you create are yours, and you can delete them whenever you want.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time from your account settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you’ve paid for, and nothing you’ve created is deleted.

Your next postis already in your files.
